Turn brackish source water into consistent, high-quality water
for your operations.

Many industries face rising water costs and strict quality standards. Our Brackish Water RO systems deliver reliable, cost-effective desalination—helping you stabilize production, protect equipment, and meet water quality targets.

Overview of Brackish Water RO Systems

Brackish water contains more dissolved solids than tap water, but less salinity than seawater. BWRO uses semi-permeable membranes and pressure to separate salts/impurities from product water—delivering purified water while discharging concentrated brine.
What is brackish water?
Typically found in wells/underground sources. The TDS often falls in a mid-salinity range (commonly ~1,000–10,000 ppm).
Why RO is needed
Without treatment, brackish water can cause scaling/corrosion and quality issues in agriculture, buildings, and industrial processes.
Designed for higher pressure
Brackish RO systems are generally built to operate at higher pressure than tap water RO (often 200+ psi), depending on salinity and design targets.
1,000–10,000 ppm
Typical brackish feed TDS range (project dependent)
Up to 2M GPD
Model range from commercial to mega-scale industrial packages
200+ PSI
Designed to handle higher pressure water than tap water RO

BWRO Model Range (Commercial → Mega-Scale)

Choose a standard model range first, then customize pretreatment, membrane selection, automation, and materials based on your feed water analysis.

How Brackish RO Works

Feed water → pretreatment & dosing → high-pressure membranes → product water + brine discharge. The key is designing pretreatment that matches your actual feed water chemistry.

Pre-Treatment & System Components

Great RO performance starts with the right upstream filtration and dosing. Pretreatment is sized to your SDI/turbidity and fouling risks.
sediment filtration

Sediment / media filtration

Remove sand/silt/organics to reduce membrane fouling risk.

media filtration

Softening / scale control

Ion exchange or antiscalant dosing to mitigate hardness and scaling.

bag filters

Cartridge / bag filters

Final polishing (often 1–5 μm) before RO membranes to protect pressure vessels and elements.

uf for brackish water system

UF (optional) for difficult feeds

Ultrafiltration can be added for high turbidity, colloids, or microbiological load to stabilize RO operation.

pH adjustment

Post-treatment

Optional pH adjustment or remineralization (calcite filters) to stabilize permeate water, prevent corrosion in downstream piping.

Controls instrumentation

Controls & instrumentation

Flow/pressure monitoring, conductivity, safety interlocks, and automated sequences—designed for industrial duty cycles.
